1950년 이탈리아 메다에서 태어나 밀라노의 폴리테크닉 대학에서 건축을 전공했다. 졸업 후, 아크리네아, B&B 이탈리아, 플렉스 폼, 플로스, 해크만, 한소르그, 인다, 카르텔, 포치, 지노리, 비트라 등 이탈리아 내외의 수많은 디자인 회사들과 일해왔으며. 1981년부터는 건축과 인테리어 디자인 분야로 행보를 넓혔다. 1987년부터 1996년까지 테리 드완(Terry Dwan)과 함께 유럽, 일본 각 지에서 건축 프로젝트를 진행했으며, 1996년의 런던 해비타트 매장이 대표적이다. 1999년에는 종합 건축 디자인 스튜디오 '안토니오 치테리오&파트너스'를 설립하였으며, 2000년에는 밀라노와 함부르크에도 사무실을 오픈했다. 두 차례의 황금컴퍼스 상 수상을 비롯하여 다양한 수상 경력을 보유한 그는 현재 밀라노에서 활동 중이다.

Its special construction not only provides solid support to the spine, but also allows a high degree of mobility. Perforations in the surface ensure constant air circulation. This is characterized by the use of curved wood and by interplaying full and empty spaces that, associated with steel-rod supports, convey visual lightness.

The shell is completely covered, but the aluminium frame profile is visible on the chair side, thus highlighting the line of the seat. The cover is in raw cut thick leather in six different colours (natural, black, dark brown, bordeaux, bottle green, mud green).

The new bed is smaller in size with the headboard and mattress box higher than the original version. The protruding base has also been eliminated. The easily removable covers are finished with exquisite needlework. In natural grey, brown, black oak or wengé, alcova is available in six sizes.
